The 24-year-old midfielder is the nephew of former Dutch international of Edgar Davids, who earned the nickname "Pitbull" in his time with the Italian champion Juventus Turin because of his aggressive forward.
Lorenzo Davids comes on a free transfer, a two-year contract and is already the fourth Augsburg newcomer. David was born in Suriname and scored five goals in 132 games in the Eredivisie for Nijmegen.
